If a Polycom phone is booting up and receives and error message "Failed to get boot parameters via DHCP" it means the phone is not acquiring a DHCP IP address from the local network.
This is most commonly caused by not plugging both ends of the ethernet cable into a switch or router that is assigning this DHCP IP address. Please check the connections of your network cables to ensure all cables are properly connected into the correct devices. The ethernet cable from the network should be plugged into the LAN port on the back of the phone. The ethernet cable connected to your computer should be plugged into the PC port.
If you are still unable to get the phone to boot after checking the cables, please contact your IT department or the person in charge of your network configuration. They will need to ensure the DHCP server on the network is working correctly and that you are using DHCP on this network.
